JJ rolls out solar panels across all branches
JJ Foodservice is investing more than £2m to install solar panels on the roofs of all nine of its UK branches
The group installed 2,000 solar panels across its Enfield headquarters and Sidcup branch in 2015, and following that success, the group is now installing panels across the Basingstoke, Bristol, Leicester and Dagenham branches.
This move is expected to generate an estimated 1,100,000 kWh annually.
“We are committed to developing a sustainable environment to protect our planet and set a good example,” said Kaan Hendekli, Head of Operations at JJ Foodservice.
“Solar energy is sustainable, renewable and can help to cut electricity bills, which will help us to continue offering affordable prices at a time when people need it the most.”
The group also plans to start work on its Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham, Doncaster, and Leeds branches in 2023.
